and once the preserve of twee little old ladies, afternoon tea has become the
ultimate decadent experience for all age groups.

Edinburgh Balmoral Palm Court is  timeless refinement. Indulge yourself with a selection of fine teas and delicate finger sandwiches including fresh salmon, cucumber and crème fraiche, tempting little French pastries from the Balmoral’s own bakery or fragrant home-made scones with rich clotted cream and strawberry preserve.

Served 2.30 pm – 5.30 pm.

Enjoy traditional Afternoon Tea in the plush comfort and tranquil splendour of the Drawing Room. Soak up the atmostphere while you choose from  a varied sandwich selection including spiced Cajun chicken with sour cream and brie, apple and celeriac mayonnaise and home baked scones with clotted cream and a selection of preserves.  If it is a nice day enjoy your afternoon in the leafy surroundings of the Rothesay Terrace.

Centotre

Centotre is a bright, airy contemporary space within an elaborately pillared 18th Century Georgian Town House. The décor is chic and sparse, the artworks impressive.  The pastries and scones are freshly prepared,  with clotted cream and homemade jam all served with a ‘Flat White’, pot of  Tea or glass of Champagne.  The italian offering to Edinburgh’s Afternoon Tea.

With a spectacular panoramic tableau including the castle, New Town skyline and Firth of Forth. Afternoon Tea at Harvey Nics is a truly splendid affair.  A finger buffet of scallop and ginger samosas, lemon chicken wraps, smoked salmon and brioche and little leek and cheddar mini quiches. Followed with a selection of mouth-watering cakes,  scones with clotted cream and preserves.  Leaf teas include Jasmine and Earl Grey .
Tuesday to Friday 3pm-4pm
