Olive Oil
Good quality olive oil can be used on baby’s dry skin. It’s been known to help nappy rash as well.
Baby Wipes
Ingredients:
1/4 cup of baby or olive oil
2 cups of water
1/4 cup baby shampoo
How to make:
Combine the ingredients.
Cut a roll of paper towels in half. Remove the cardboard center. Place it in an old baby wipes container and pour the oil/soap mixture over the wipes.
To use:
Use like regular wipes.
Oatmeal Bath for Kids
Ingredients:
Oatmeal
To make:
Grind 1 cup of plain oatmeal in a food processor or coffee grinder until it turns into a powder.
To use:
Add the oatmeal powder to running water and stir with your hand to get the oatmeal powder to dissolve in the bath water. Relives itching due to chicken pox, nappy rash etc. Also good for dry skin.
Hand Sanitiser
Ingredients:
1/4 cup aloe vera gel
1/4 cup grain alcohol
10 drops fragrance oil
How to make:
Combine ingredients and shake. Store in a spray pump bottle.
How to use:
Rub on hands regularly.
Cornstarch
Use 100% pure cornstarch instead of perfumed baby powders. It’s better for baby’s lungs and skin, and easier on your purse as well.
Kids Hair Detangler
Add a small amount of conditioner to water and pour it into a spray bottle
