Natural Bath Treats

Night-time Bubble Bath

Ingredients:
6 drops of lavender oil
3 drops of patchouli oil
1 quart of distilled water
1 bar of castile soap (4-ounce bar)
4 ounces liquid glycerin

To make:
Mix the water, soap and glycerin together and stir. Now, add your essential oils to the mixture.

To use:
Pour into your bath and enjoy

Cold Relief Bubble Bath

Ingredients:
6 drops of eucalyptus oil
3 drops of spearmint oil
3 drops of peppermint oil
1 quart of distilled water
1 bar of castile soap (4-oz. bar)
4 ounces liquid glycerin
How to make:
Mix the water, soap and glycerin together and stir. Add the essential oils to the mixture.

To use:
Pour into your bath and enjoy

Citrus Bubble Bath

Ingredients:
6 drops of orange oil
4 drops of grapefruit oil
3 drops of lemon oil
1 quart of distilled water
1 bar of castile soap (4-oz. bar)
4 ounces liquid glycerin
How to make:
Mix the water, soap and glycerin together and stir. Add the essential oils to the mixture.

To use:
Pour into your bath and enjoy

Dead Sea Salts and Coconut Oil

Ingredients:
3 cups Dead Sea salt
15-24 drops of your favorite essential oil
1 tbsp coconut oil (as a moisturizer)

How to make:
Place all ingredients into a bowl and mix well. Store in a glass jar with a tight fitting lid.

To use:
To use add 1/2 cup of the salts to running bath water and mix well so the salts dissolve completely before you enter the tub.

Sumptuous Rose Bath

Ingredients:
1 Cup Rose Petals OR
1/2 Cup Rose Water (found in health food stores)
1/2 Cup Coconut Milk

How to make:
Draw a warm bath. Add the Rose petals (or any type of pesticide-free edible flower) or Rose Water and Coconut Milk.

How to use:
Slip in tub and relax for 10-15 minutes. Rinse, tone, then moisturize.

Basic Recipe for Bath Salts

Homemade Bath Salts are very easy to make.

Ingredients:
Start with Dead Sea Salts, Kosher Salts or Epsom Salts (you can find these at any grocery store) – or a mix of any of them.

Then, add any of the following – slowly to not dissolve the salts – (all of the following ingredients are optional, so choose your favorites for the perfect bath salt recipe)

Baking Soda
Your Favourite Essential Oils
Dried Milk
Drops of Food colouring
Liquid Glycerin Soap
Dried Flowers
Dried Mint Leaves
Oatmeal

To make:
Combine your favorite ingredients and place into an attractive container. Keep your bath salts or give them as a gift.

Lavender Honey Milk Bath

Ingredients:
3 T dried Lavender flowers*
1 1/2 cups milk or cream
1/3 cup Honey

How to make:
Process lavender flowers in a blender until they become a powder, turning off the blender and scraping down the sides as necessary. Whisk together lavender powder, milk and honey in a glass bowl, then pour into a jar.

To use:
Before each use, shake the jar and pour half of the mixture into the bath. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Makes enough for 2 baths

Mood Enhancer Bath

Ingredients:
1/4 cup of pure vanilla extract

To use:
Add 1/4 cup of pure vanilla extract to a warm bath.
