Have Your Cake… And Eat It!

Catering, Hospitality & Events — By Informed Edinburgh on April 15, 2010 at 3:31 pm

Cake designers have different areas of expertise, so shop around for one that suits your needs. Instead of going for a traditional sponge or fruit filling, why not try chocolate coffee or lemon?

Remember to taste your cake – Many people are too excited by the occasion and forget to do this!

Personalised Cakes

Expect to pay £30 upwards for a personalised cake. If you don’t have a idea of what you want the designer will be happy to run through a catalogue of  their previous creations to see if something catches your eye.

Christenings

As with most, Christening cakes can come in various styles, sizes and colours. From the traditional round and square to the open book style.

Weddings & Anniversaries

Prices start at £75. The general rule is that a ten inch square or 11 inch round fruitcake is adequate for around 100 people. Check with your venue that a cake stand and knife are available, if not you can hire/lend them from your cake designer.

Special Occasions & Corporate

Marketing with a difference! Celebrate product launches, anniversaries (1000 issue, 1 millionth customer) and company or client birthdays, retirements, and long service in a tasty way!
