Holiday Activities for Kids

Among its many attractions, Edinburgh boasts a wonderful variety of clubs, classes and other activities to keep the kids entertained during their holidays.

Love Drama

Arts and craft studio Kiss The Fish will be holding handicraft workshops throughout Easter for children of all ages. For those keen to connect with their creative side, classes in mosaics, pottery and felt-making are available, with paints and tools provided.  A fun and different activity for your children, Kiss The Fish will help with the making of masterpieces and give guidance when needed.

An enjoyable experience for kids and parents, the workshop is a stimulating way for children to spend the Easter holidays.  Beautiful gifts can also be bought in the shop.


Edinburgh Leisure – Activator Camps

Exciting activities for 5-14 year olds, and New Camp Activ5 for under 5s.  Edinburgh Leisure’s Activator Camps will keep your kids busy all day, every day.  From swimming, badminton and gymnastics, to arts and crafts classes, bouncy castles, quizzes and talent shows, Activator Camps cater for everyone.

A drop-off early and pick-up late scheme (between 8am and 6pm) means that stress for working parents is eased. Spaces for children who have additional support needs are also available.


Edinburgh Leisure – Sports Camps

With so many sports camps available, parents may find that by the end of the summer they have the new David Beckham or Andy Murray on their hands. Offering tennis, climbing, football and athletics camps Monday to Thursday, Edinburgh Leisure provides fully qualified instructors and promises kids a fantastic time.  With clubs for all levels and ages, kids are welcome to spend each week practising a different sport.


EAC Edinburgh

EAC camps are available for 5-15 year-olds.

Incorporating elements of play, creativity and sport into each day’s activities, the camp aims to give the right mix of active and passive pursuits to kids. Everyone is encouraged to take part and making new friends is top priority.  Problem solving and leadership challenges are on offer to the older 12-15 age group while younger kids can have a go at ‘EAC’s Got Talent’.


King’s Camp

Offering over 30 clubs and activities in areas such as cricket, football and swimming, King’s Clubs allow kids to kick back, relax and learn at the same time.


The Russian Ballet Society

Location: Loretto School, Musselburgh

Working towards an end-of-camp performance, boys and girls will be schooled in five ballet classes per day. With the option of staying in residence for the duration of the course, you can choose between one or two full weeks tutoring.  Recommended for youngsters wishing to have a career in dance, The Russian Ballet Society will be equally enjoyable to other dancers seeking simply to improve their talents.  The final show will be held in Brunton Theatre, Musselburgh.
